Marialena Aikaterini Kalioraki has acquired a Bachelor’s degree from Democritus University of Thrace in the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science. During her sophomore year, she chose to specialize in Adaptive Physical Education for individuals with special needs. Following her graduation, she completed her practicum at Megalonisos Sports Club, where she worked with Paralympian athletes as well as other great athletes who have achieved significant milestones in their careers. Subsequently, she worked as a trainer for disabled individuals and in musculoskeletal rehabilitation in the pool. It was during this time that she discovered the dynamics of water, yielding excellent results for patients. This experience further fueled her passion for the field.

As someone committed to broadening her horizons, she believes that pursuing a Master's degree in Kinesiology at the University of Rhode Island in the U.S. will be a transformative experience. She is determined to expand her knowledge and help individuals improve their lives. As a Fulbright Scholar, she is excited about the opportunity to enhance her expertise and cultivate her skills by working with people from diverse backgrounds.
