Maryam Khalil, B.S.H (she/her), is a recent Stanford graduate and a pre-medical student with a profound commitment to global health and serving vulnerable populations. As a Fulbright Schuman Scholar, she will be affiliated with the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) Medical School. Her work will involve analyzing conditions on the ground and EU migration policy, while taking into account the challenges faced by health workers. Additionally, she will be affiliated with Luiss Carlo University in Italy and will intern at the Joel Nafuma Refugee Center, aiming to develop and implement innovative healthcare solutions and policies to enhance support for these underserved communities in both countries.
