Fulbright Greece on the Road: University of Patras

Fulbright Greece was once again "on the road" as part of its outreach activities for academic year 2015-2016. This time it visited the University of Patras in an event co-organized with the institution's Career Services Office.  Nicholas Tourides, Educational Advisor/American Program Coordinator at Fulbright Greece presented on "Graduate Studies in the US and the Fulbright Scholarship Program."  Dr. George Kagadis (see photo above), a Fulbright alumnus and Associate Professor of Medical Physics & Medical Informatics at the University of Patras, had the chance to share his own experience in the USA as a Greek scholar with the audience and highlighted the benefits of studying in the United States at the graduate level.

The presentation focused on the application components and timeline involved, test requirements, financing of studies, selection of programs and gaining admission.  The Fulbright Scholarship program in Greece was also covered (requirements, benefits and timeline) and a brief Skype session on Student Visas was offered by the US Consulate section of the US Embassy in Athens.
