Panorama of Entrepreneurship & Career Development

Panorama of Entrepreneurship & Career Development

The Panorama of Entrepreneurship and Career Development, established in 2008, has become the largest multi-conference on youth entrepreneurship and career orientation issues in Greece. The 3-day event is hosted by the Concert Hall Athens at its International Conference Centre and includes panels, workshops, round table discussions, presentations, etc. in addition to representational stands from companies and institutions. The Panorama’s main goal is to inform young people about current trends and professional options and prospects in some 15 sectors of the economy, so that they can choose the optimal course, whether as employees or entrepreneurs. At the same time,it wants to promote the ‘Other Greece’ of innovation and internationalization.

During the conference, students and graduates of various universities can sign up to one of the Business Days, educational visits to multinational companies, large corporations and institutions, to attend seminars given by company executives and to learn first-hand about the professional world. In October 2017, the U.S. Embassy hosted for the first time a Business Day event for 65 students. The Ambassador and Embassy diplomats showcased the work that the Embassy is doing in making the bilateral relationship stronger in areas such as economic collaboration and development, regional security, and educational initiatives and exchanges.

"I am convinced that the story of economic recovery in Greece is going to be written by young people like yourselves," Ambassador Pyatt said to the young students and professionals attending.

Fulbright was invited to talk about Studies in the U.S. and Scholarship Opportunities and three Fulbright alumni of the Graduate Students and Student Leaders program were available to answer questions from the young audience.

Fulbright itself took the stand during the 8th Panorama in March 2018 with presentations by the American and Greek Program Coordinators, joined by Fulbright Alumna, Dr. Dimitra Iordanoglou who spoke about her research topic in the U.S.: ‘Leadership skills for young professionals: A survey in Europe and the U.S.’.
